Wear A Kilt – Make Someone’s Day

Wear A Kilt – Make Someone’s DayMy lovely lass and I were walking through Walmart the other day and something very interesting happened.

Here we were in the hardware section picking out dry wall screws and anchors when all of a sudden, a woman shouted, “Oh my god… a man in a kilt… you just made my day.”

I turned around and smiled at her and told her that I was glad and asked why I made her day.

She proceeded to tell us all the ugly stuff that was going on. Not only was she having a really hard day, she was having a hell of a week.

Cynthia thinking quickly asked the lass if she would mind being on video telling the world why some guy in a kilt made her day.

You can see that video here… WATCH NOW

NOW… the interesting thing is that we then went to Hobby Lobby and was walking around in there and a woman jumped out of the isle and said “ Now that is what I like seeing, a man in a kilt… you just made my day!”

After talking to her for a while we learned that she lived in Scotland for a long time, her mother made kilts and she was one a Scottish dancer and her name was Katherine.

We chatted with her for some time as she shared her adventures living in Scotland and how she missed it so much. In fact, she and her family just returned from a trip. We got on the topic of Scotch whiskey and she invited us to come over and partake in a wee dram or two. Look for some articles and videos when we go visit her and their ranch down the road.

Yes, we got some video of me and Katherine talking… WATCH NOW …. And THIS ONE

After these two experiences, I shared with Cynthia how good it felt bringing some joy into these women’s lives.

But the interesting thing that I was questioning is this… how does a man in a kilt make someone’s day?

Both women seem to have been having some stress in their lives and upon seeing me in my kilt, was something like a light shining down from heaven and pouring goodness and warmth upon them.

And all from me wearing a kilt.

Really, I did not get it.

Cynthia and I were discussing how it is not an everyday occurrence where you see a nice-looking man wearing a kilt and traipsing around Walmart or Hobby Lobby.

And when you do see a man in a kilt, that person seems to bring a smile to your face and a warmness to your heart.

Again, I was not getting it.

Then, after some thinking a picture seemed to pop into my head when I was a wee boy and we were on a family trip to Disneyland.

While we were walking around, we turned some cornet and poof… there was Mickey Mouse standing there.

My heart jumped with glee and I could not believe my eyes. Standing there was Mickey!

I had to go up to Mickey and he bent down and shook my hand and then gave me a hug.

It was like all the worries in the world were gone, I got to see Mickey Mouse and life was good. I am not sure how much stress a kid of 6 years old could have back then, but I still remember this event like it was yesterday, meeting Mickey Mouse for the very first time.

I share that because on some level, I guess that is what I did for these women. Here I am and out of the blue I pop up wearing a kilt.

Upon seeing me an instant smile comes to the face and for a few moments the stresses of the world disappear as if by magic. Both these women felt really great, life was good and why shouldn’t be with an incredibly handsome man in a kilt just a few feet from them.

It was then that I realized yet another superpower that the kilt bestows upon its wearer. The power of cheer and goodwill.

Listen, it isn’t just women either. I had an elderly gentleman and his wife make a b-line straight for me in Kroger’s and just wanted to shake my hand and tell me how much he appreciated seeing me in my kilt. Cheer and goodwill and it just happens, BOOM…just like that.

It is an interesting power, but now that I think back on other situations where I have had the same effect on people, it is true, the kilt produces an aura of cheer and goodwill in a world where so much stress and yuckiness are taking place.

So, I encourage all you men out there. Really look at how you can change your world and influence so many around you by just wearing a kilt.

Those of you who wear it regularly, do you have any stories of this interesting superpower being bestowed upon you as well?

If so, I would love to hear about it. You can email me at ray@raygano.net and share your experience with me.

Till the next time… KILT ON!

Kilted Superpowers

When you are a kiltie, or a male (sometimes female) who wears a kilt, you soon come to realize that there are super powers that are bestowed upon you when you wearing thus said  kilt.

I have said it before, it is kind of like Clark Kent donning the Superman cape.

I am not sure what sort of wizardry that takes place, but wrap it around your waist and buckle those straps and it is like a surge of energy that courses through your body.

OK… now maybe not everyone feels this when the put on their kilt, but I know that I sure do.

Kilted Superpowers

1 – The Power of Magnetism

This is probably the most common superpower that you will notice almost immediately. You step out of your bedroom and your family will look at you in awe. Children and pets act like magnets and are instantly drawn to you. Your wife / girlfriend / fiancé will also have the glimmer in her eye and will often come over and give you a “nice” kiss.

Walk out your door and head to any public establishment like the grocery store or Walmart and you will get all kinds of people coming up to you and telling you how much they love seeing you in your kilt.

2 – The Gift of Gab

Now this can be a good or not so good superpower. When people are pulled to you by the power of the kilt, they want to talk. Often they will tell you that they have some great great uncle’s cousin who is from Scotland and let you know how great they looked in their kilt, or they will tell you about their journey to Scotland.

Another thing is that you will always be asked the same questions…

A – Are you Scottish?

B – Do you play the bagpipes?

C – Are you wearing your kilt the proper way like all Scots do?… AKA Commando.

Now the amazing thing is that when you are wearing your kilt you become a great orator of all things Celtic and you amaze people with your stories of you in your kilt, your families history and your travels to Scotland, that is if you have been or not. If you have not, then you talk about your incredible up coming trip you are planning on taking.

When you are not in your kilt you seem to be a recluse. But the moment you put it on, you are given the power of the gift of gab.

NOTE: be careful with this power, it will often cause you to be late to work, functions and on your way home. So always plan for these delays if you are able.

3 – The Power of “Friend Me”

In today’s hustle and bustle world, social media has become one of the most powerful means to stay in touch with others and reaching out to the world.

Me… I have over 4300 friends on Facebook and growing.

Why?

Because I wear the kilt and for some reason people just want to be my friend and get to know me better.

This one happens to me so much that now I carry business cards with the title “Ray Gano – The Scottish Texan.”  I have found it to be much better and faster than having to spell out names and such. This power kind of goes hand in hand with the “Gift of Gab” superpower.

I have found having business cards helps speed up that process of everyone wanting to be your friend.

4 -The Power of Super Self Confidence

This is probably one of the most common superpowers that the kilt bestows. You put it on and your confidence goes up 100% if not more. In fact, it is the direct result of the above super powers that allows your self-confidence to superpower grow like crazy.

Special note here, you will NOT be faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Or able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

That is Superman’s gig and let’s let him have those cool things.

For us this power of self-confidence seems to allow us many graces.

For example…

People always want to say hi to you and treat you special. They could be having a horrible day, but you show up in your kilt and you act like a ray of sunshine and they can’t help themselves but reach out to you and greet you. Now, this is a superpower in and of itself, but the result is a boost in confidence.

Long line at the grocery store and you just have a few items? People want you to skip ahead of them, especially the ladies. I really have not figured this one out yet, maybe they like to look at the nice pleats in the kilt or something, I am not sure. Again, this boosts the self-confidence.

I am sure that if you are reading this and wear the kilt, you have a number of side-superpowers that are bestowed upon you due to your heightened state of self-confidence.

These are just some of the most common superpowers that the kilt bestows upon you. I would love to hear about your experiences and what superpowers have you noticed when you put on the kilt.

So please leave a comment and share your superpower insight.

Kilt On!

The kilt is almost like Superman’s cap. Thing is that just because you have a kilt on does not mean you have to superhero powers of flight, x-ray vision, super strength, or all the other things that Superman can do.

The Kilt & Superman’s Cape – Almost One in The Same

The kilt is almost like Superman’s cap. Thing is that just because you have a kilt on does not mean you have to superhero powers of flight, x-ray vision, super strength, or all the other things that Superman can do.I don’t know what it is, but there is some sort of wizardry at work when a man wears a kilt.

Out of the blue you become a people magnet. Young and old come up to you giving you kudos and how much they love seeing you in your kilt.

You graciously thank them.

You spy a few women talking in whispers and they whip out their cell phones and it appears that they are taking pictures of you.

You look at them and they giggle. Then they walk up and tell you how handsome you are in your kilt and then scurry off giggling again.

This seems to happen to me all the time, not that I am complaining.

I don my kilt and all of a sudden, I become RAY… THE SCOTTISH TEXAN!

The kilt is almost like Superman’s cape. Thing is that just because you have a kilt on does not mean you have to superhero powers of flight, x-ray vision, super strength, or all the other things that Superman can do.

The one superpower that kilts bestow is the power of self-confidence. One just seems to walk with a bit more pep in their step as well as stand a wee bit taller.

OH… and for some reason people seem to flock to you. They want to help you and even at times give you free stuff.

Is people-magnet a superpower? I am not sure but that is one thing that the kilt does, it draws people to you.  So, if you are a kilt wearer / kiltie, there is no being shy, men, women, young and old just seem to flock to you.

It was funny, I was in a liquor store the other day in the scotch section and a guy walks up and starts asking me what is a good scotch and such. Now, I do know my scotch whiskey, but it was funny that the guy just came up and thought I was some scotch know it all or something.

Why? Because of the kilt. That is the only reason that I can think of.

I was in Kroger’s in the meat section and this older woman came up to me as was asking my opinion on some rib-eye steaks. I didn’t have any Kroger’s badge or anything like that, but I guess she thought I knew about steak.

Yep… kilt power.

The kilt is almost like Superman’s cap. Thing is that just because you have a kilt on does not mean you have to superhero powers of flight, x-ray vision, super strength, or all the other things that Superman can do.OH… and walk into a pub with your kilt on. All of a sudden you are the center of attention and you got folks you have never met buying you a round of drinks.

It is amazing at what a piece of fabric wrapped around your waist can do.

I am reminded of this old Jim Croce song…

you don’t tug on superman’s cape
you don’t spit into the wind
you don’t pull the mask of the old lone ranger…

AND… you don’t mess around with that guy in a kilt.

Ok… it does not quiet rhyme, but you get the idea.

Now, just because you have a kilt on does not give you permission to jumping off the roof of your house; thinking it will inflate like a parachute and you glide gently to the ground.

You will be sadly disappointed for sure and also have some bumps and bruises to remind you how dumb an idea that was.

Dawn that kilt and see what hidden superpowers you may have.

Do me a favor and share any superpower kilt story you may have, I would love to hear how you are bestowed with the power of the kilt when you wear it.

As I was watching this show I found myself getting a wee bit upset in how the show was depicting the modern male. I mean really… what gene pool did they get these guys from?

Average? I Wear A Kilt, I Don’t Do Average!

As I was watching this show I found myself getting a wee bit upset in how the show was depicting the modern male. I mean really… what gene pool did they get these guys from?I forget the name of the stupid documentary that I was watching. It was talking about humans just being average.

A lot of the examples that they gave were just plain ol’ dumb.

I was constantly asking myself if I did this or that. You know, thinking over the different examples that the show was bringing up.

NAAAAAA…. Nope not me.

Talk about constant eye roll at the TV screen.

THEN the show started focusing on men and that is when I kind of lost it.

The examples there were sporting were these wasted away skinny soy boys who have a hard time lifting a simple pint of beer and need “safe places,” otherwise their feelings would get hurt and get knocked down with a feather.

I just don’t understand this mentality.

As I was watching this show I found myself getting a wee bit upset in how the show was depicting the modern male.

I mean really… what gene pool did they get these guys from?

I kept voicing my colorful expletives and my wonderful woman stated something very profound…

“You wear a kilt, so none of this pertains to you.”

“WOW… you know I never thought of that.” I was so wrapped up in being  a wee bit upset that for a moment, I forgot the power of the kilt.

She went on and said “You are as manly as a man can get. You have this walk about you that just shouts “MAN.” Then you couple that when you wear a kilt and you exude testosterone. You are far from average and one of the main reasons is that you wear a kilt.”

If you are kilt wearer / kiltie, you know this as well.

There is just something that changes when you put that kilt on.

Here is a great commercial that really explains it all…https://youtu.be/xaMj7rcK-S8

Kilt On!

Ray – The Scottish Texan

A Morning Grocery Spree… in a Kilt

Ray Gano in his black utility kilt from UT Kilts - Kilt On!As some of you may know, I am of Scottish descent, American born, but proud Scottish roots.

Ever since I could remember I always loved the bag pipes and I always loved a nice plaid flannel shirt.

Fast forward to today and I run one of the largest kilt groups on Facebook where a lot of guys and a few gals post their pictures of them proudly wearing their kilts and other Scottish garb.

I have a number of kilts myself, but I would only wear them for special occasion. But finally, I decided to start wearing them day to day.

I have to admit living down here in Texas I thought that I would catch a lot of flack “for wearing a skirt.”

But come to find out, especially here in Texas, many people are of Scott / Irish decent and proud of their Celtic roots as well.

I find that the battle is in one’s head and not with what others perceive.

Yes, there will be the occasional hick or punky high school kid that will say something, but nine times out of ten, many people will be in favor of you wearing your kilt.

In my kilt group there is something called the “walk of fame” this is where a guy will walk through his local Walmart wearing his kilt for the very first time.

AND… when you are new to wearing the kilt, this is a daunting task for sure. But once you do it and you have 2-3 people come up and tell you how great you look in your kilt, then the confidence starts to come out.

THAT is what makes wearing the kilt such a great thing.

When a man wears a kilt, there is something that happens to him inside. There is this pride, confidence, macho-ness that seems to come out.

I am not talking about some ego trip sort of guy, but a man who seems to stand a little taller, has a wee bit more of a strut in his step, and seems to turn the heads of everyone around him.

It also isn’t some sort of “look at me, I’m in the lime-light” sort of thing either.

Now I have been wearing my kilts on and off for several years now, but this morning it was nice to get all the complements while shopping at my local Kroger’s.

I was wearing my blacked-out utility kilt with a brown pull over sweater, sporting my black combat boots and my black tam / beret.

I didn’t even make it into the store and some young men commented on how much they liked my kilt.

In the veggie area and a woman smiles and nods her head yes with approval.

Over getting some heavy whipping cream I am stopped an elderly gentleman and his wife and they had some encouraging words as well as thanking me for my service in the military.

I was walking up and down the isles getting my groceries and headed to the front of the store and another woman gave me a huge ol’ smile and almost shouted “I LOVE YOUR KILT!!”

I smiled back at her, gave her a thumbs up and said, “Thank you lass!”

From my experience, women loved to be called lass by a guy in a kilt.

So why am I sharing all this?

Because there is a power in the kilt. When a man dawns the kilt, he stands a few inches taller. He has some pep in his step and walks with a confidence that only the kilt seems to help bring about.

AND… if you have never worn a kilt, you really don’t have an idea of what this newfound confidence feels like.

I hope that more men start wearing a kilt and feel the freedom and confidence that it brings.

Plus, the extra added bonus is that the women love a man in a kilt, there seems to be some sort of magnetism with the kilt.

So, if you are reading this and you are not a kilt wearer / kiltie, get one and give it a go. It will feel odd and even daunting at first, but once you walk through Walmart and get a bunch of smiles and thumbs up, you will start filling your closet full of the wonderful tartan magic.

When you do, stop by our Facebook group and join in the rabble, post pictures of yourself and be part of a growing community that has a lot of fun and a true brotherhood of men who wear the kilt and women who love seeing a man in kilt.

KILT ON!!

As you know I am trying to rise up out of the ashes of a pretty bad nuclear event that took place in my life and instead of choosing to see all the bad and negative things, I am choosing to flip the picture find the good. There is an old saying, when life gives you lemons, you make lemon-aide. That is what I am trying to do and share the life lessons I am learning as I re-build.

6 Little Stories

As you know I am trying to rise up out of the ashes of a pretty bad nuclear event that took place in my life and instead of choosing to see all the bad and negative things, I am choosing to flip the picture find the good. There is an old saying, when life gives you lemons, you make lemon-aide. That is what I am trying to do and share the life lessons I am learning as I re-build.Life at times can get rather hectic and at times we forget what blessings we truly have. I wanted to share with you 6 little stories that I hope bring a little bit of happiness into your day today.

As you know I am trying to rise up out of the ashes of a pretty bad nuclear event that took place in my life and instead of choosing to see all the bad and negative things, I am choosing to flip the picture and find the good.

There is an old saying, when life gives you lemons, you make lemon-aide.

That is what I am trying to do and share the life lessons I am learning as I re-build.

6 Little Stories

(1). Once all villagers decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer, all the people gathered, but only one boy came with an umbrella. That is faith.

(2). When you throw babies in the air, they laugh because they know you will catch them. That is trust.

(3). Every night we go to bed without any assurance of being alive the next morning, but still we set the alarms to wake up. That is hope.

(4). We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future. That is confidence.

(5). We see the world suffering, but still, we get married and have children. That is love.

(6). On an old man’s shirt was written a sentence ‘I am not 80 years old; I am sweet 16 with 64 years of experience.’ That is attitude.

Imagine what we could do if we had more faith, trust, hope, confidence, love and attitude.

How could we better effect our world when all that our world seems to offer is doom, gloom, anger and distrust?

Did one of these 6 little stories touch your heart?

If so how? Please share so that both of us can be encouraged and hopefully we then encourage more people that are within our circle of influence.

How did it touch my heart?

I am reminded of the time the children came to Christ and the innocents that they had. The love, trust, hope, faith, confidence and attitude of a child.

Sometimes I think that if we would find our way back to that innocents, how much of  a better world would it be.

One smile…

One touch…

One hello…

One act of kindness…

Cheers!

There are a lot of things that I learned out of this mess and the biggest lesson that I learned is that I am not alone and believe me there were times where I was really feeling alone

Your Mess Is Your Message

There are a lot of things that I learned out of this mess and the biggest lesson that I learned is that I am not alone and believe me there were times where I was really feeling aloneI was scrolling around in Facebook and I saw a video that presented a great statement.

She said… “Your Mess Is Your Message”

That kind of hit me. How can my mess be a message?

As you may or may not know, I just went through a pretty nuclear divorce. Things got ugly and a lot of mistruths were told about me. As a result, I have lost a lot of credibility, clients and income because people chose to believe what was being said verses coming to me can finding out if it is the truth or not.

When this took place, my life turned into a mess… a big mess.

Now, I could have sat around and felt sorry for myself, or I could pick myself up, wipe the dust off and keep pushing forward.

I chose the later and I am pushing forward.

There are a lot of things that I learned out of this mess and the biggest lesson that I learned is that I am not alone and believe me there were times where I was really feeling alone.

I even felt that God even abandoned me. Then He gently reminded me of many of the biblical patriarchs who messed up big time as well.

The one person that stands out in my mind is David. Talk about a guy who constantly was one foot in the frying pan and one foot in the fire.

When I read about David and I look at the mess that I was in, things start looking a little bit better because David was constantly in a mess.

Once I started to look at things in a different light, I realized that I had my family, my friends and a number of people reaching out to me who have been in the same mess that I have been in, letting me know that things will get better.

I also realized that even with all the mess that I was in, I still had God on my side telling me that yeah, it was a mess, but he was going to help me get out of the mess.

And you know what? He has kept His word.

It is amazing to me how many people want to kick you when you are down. But that is not all, they then want to drag you to the center of town and burn you at the stake.

They also do not want to hear your side of the story either. That is part of the mess that is the most bothersome.

But again, I am reminded at those who are at my side, helping me, standing beside me, supporting me and my efforts. With all the mess that has taken place, I have to say that I am rather blessed at how well God has taken care of the mess and together we have done some positive cleaning up of it all.

At one time I thought all was down the toilet but stepping back I really realize how blessed I have become, and it is all because I shared my mess with those who care.

Out of all of this I have learned that I have a pretty positive message to share with people. I survived a lot and because of that, I am that phoenix rising from the ashes. It is my hope and prayer that when people see me and see what I have been through that it gives them hope and they realize that they don’t have it as bad after all.

SO what mess is your message?

How are you able to share your mess and how you have survived encouraging others?

There are people out there that need positive encouragement, heck with all the negative and bad news that is going on out in the world, a little positiveness can go a long way.

Share a mess that you have been in and share the positive that you learned out of that mess and make that mess your message.

If you would like to share with me, please contact me and let me read about your mess and message.

Cheers!

Be Prepared

Let’s work hard this next year at bringing more joy and happiness into the world and let’s leave the negative news behind. There is so much good that we could share with so many people that need to hear the good news. My wish is that all of us have an incredible holidays and that we make a conserted effort in bringing joy into the world and leave behind the bad news. Cheers!

Be Not Afraid – Tired of ALL The Bad News

DUNE - by Frank HerbertThis is one of my favorite book / movie quotes…

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

― Frank Herbert, Dune

It is interesting that these words “ Be Not Afraid” were the first words out of the mouths of angels to the shepherds.

Have you ever felt guided into a new area of life that makes you uncomfortable, even turns your world upside-down? Or has change ever hit you like a 2 x 4 — maybe a major change in job, finances, relationship or health?

It’s easy to argue with the admonition not to be afraid.

Have you ever looked up and said…“Are you kidding? Do you know what’s going on down here? Dysfunctional government. Climate change. People getting shot. Protesters for every conceivable issue.”

Add your own personal fears here _______________…

For example, during the holidays I’m finding it a bit more challenging these days remaining positive and such with all the negative news out there.

But here’s the thing, if we want more good in our lives one has to shift and make room for it.

The problem in these days is that it seems fear is so much more encompassing and prevalent than that of joy and happiness.

Let’s work hard this next year at bringing more joy and happiness into the world and let’s leave the negative news behind.

There is so much good that we could share with so many people that need to hear the good news.

My wish is that all of us have an incredible holidays and that we make a concerted effort in bringing joy into the world and leave behind the bad news.

Cheers!

FACT: 98% of all Zombies Wear Long Sleeves – The Goal of Finding the 2%

I was watching my favorite Sunday night zombie show and something struck me as I was watching these walking dead.

What was it you ask?

All the zombies I saw were wearing long sleeves shirts, jackets, sweaters, etc. I did not notice any short-sleeved zombies.

After binge watching some of the older shows I started looking specifically for zombies in short sleeve shirts.

Even in some of the zombie hordes all the zombies were wearing some sort of long sleeves.

I became so obsessed with this that even my lovely lady googled it and found out that 98% of all the zombies wear long sleeves because it means less time in the make-up chair and quicker wardrobe changes for the extras.

Now the next amazing thing is that not 60 minutes later, both of us spotted a zombie wearing short sleeves. In fact, it was my lovely lady that spotted it first.

Why is this?

Because both of our brains were keyed into finding that 2%er zombie who was wearing that short sleeve shirt. AND… because we were keyed in on that fact, our brains / subconscious was on high alert looking for / seeking out short sleeved zombies.

Once the short sleeved zombie was spotted, the subconscious sent a message to the conscious and boom… we (my lovely lady) spotted the short sleeved zombie, which was pinned down under a car and one of the hero’s proceeded to stab it in the head thus killing the brain.

But I digress…

What does this have to do with life lessons?

Opportunity is a lot like short sleeved zombies.

Odds are that these short sleeved zombies were popping up in the show, but we never noticed them, that is till we started looking for them. And once we started looking, we started to pay more attention and finally one showed up. In fact, it was so fast that we probably would have missed the short-sleeved zombie if we were not looking for it.

All the zombies I saw were wearing long sleeves shirts, jackets, sweaters, etc. I did not notice any short-sleeved zombies. Even in some of the zombie hordes all the zombies were wearing some sort of long sleeves.

I share all this because opportunity works the same way. When you give your brain that  problem to solve (seeking an opportunity) Your brain, with a little help from the universe, that will help you find it.

In fact, the universe has probably presented you many opportunities, much like the show has presented us short sleeved zombies.  You just don’t see them till you are really looking and homed in on finding them.

Where once opportunities / short sleeve zombies were somewhat invisible to you, opportunities are presenting themselves in many different places.

BUT… if you are not looking or in that heightened state of awareness, many opportunities will come, be put right in front of your nose and believe it or not, you will not see them at all.

This is how you brain works and that is how me and my lovely lady spotted the short-sleeved zombie. Our brains were tuned into short sleeved zombies and when it presented itself, we spotted it right away.

Now here is the funny thing, we now are looking for more short sleeved zombies. They are out there, we just have to be aware of them and when they present themselves, we will see them clear as day.

Great opportunities / solutions to problems are out there. What one has to do is decide that they want to find them. Think about that opportunity / solution.

Are you looking for a great side hustle to bring in some extra cash?

Maybe you are looking for that next cake recipe that will win you that blue ribbon at the fair.

Maybe you are looking for that incredible apartment by the coast at a rock bottom price.

All of these and more are out there and believe it or not the universe wants to give these things to you, and often it will.

But because we are not LOOKING for that opportunity / solution, we never see the blessings that the universe wants to bestow upon us.

What we need to do is put our brains to work about finding that opportunity / solution and you will be amazed how fast your brain will present you the solution it has found.

The universe is quick to provide, trust me.

We are just to slow to realize it, kind of like making the observation that 98% of all zombies wear some sort of long sleeves and only 2% don’t.

Here is my challenge to you… hunt down that 2%. Focus hard on it and think about it all the time and the universe will present it to you. You just have to be ready to spot it when it does.

Just like the short-sleeved zombie that are the 2%. They are now easy to spot now that we are looking out for them.

Do me a favor and let me know what opportunities / solutions you are looking for.

OR… have you had the universe bless you and present great opportunities / solutions to you and what were they?

Cheers!

Be Prepared

when you see that bad ass dude / dudette who can kill zombies like no tomorrow, your personal observation and modeling yourself after that person’s positive example will help us reach new heights. We’re not just talking about killing zombies either, this will apply to everything we do in life.

You Become Who You Hang With… Even During The Zombie Apocalypse

Jim Rohn said, “You will become the combined average of the five people you hang around the most. You will have their combined attitude, health and income.”

If we want to get further in our life personally and professionally, we must associate ourselves with people who will be a positive influence on our lives.

That is unless you are living in the Zombie Apocalypse and if that is the case, you want to hang with a solid upstanding person who is a real bad ass zombie killer who happens to have a lot of guns, bullets and some nice samurai swords help as well.

Why do we want to hang out with people who are better than we are?

When we associate with others who have a greater skill set or have achieved more, we are challenged. This in turn brings out the best in us and inspires us to do better.

So, when you see that bad ass dude / dudette who can kill zombies like no tomorrow, your personal observation and modeling yourself after that person’s positive example will help us reach new heights. We’re not just talking about killing zombies either, this will apply to everything we do in life.

I don’t know why the universe shows favor upon us when we surrounded ourselves with optimistic and uplifting people, but when we do it has a direct cause and effect on our demeanor, confidence level and performance.

So, if you are hanging out with an incredible zombie killer, then you will also improve when it comes to killing off zombies.

You want to see yourself do better in business? Associate yourself with people who are doing an incredible job at what you would like to do, and you will see yourself grow.

Sports?… same thing. Hang out with winners and you will gain that winning spirit.

You are who you hang out with.

“But Ray, how do I become like Robert Kiosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad), Tony Robbins (Unleash The Power Within), Jen Sincero (You are a Bad Ass), or Dean Graziosi (millionaire Success Habits) when I can’t even get near these people?”

Simple… read their books, listen to their audio books, watch their You Tube videos, read their blog posts from their websites.

The more that you are able to fill your brain with their knowledge, the more you will start emulating their ideas.

How To Get Started With Your Zombie Killer Badass List

How many people do you know that you would like to emulate?

What I want you to do is take about 10 minutes and think about ALL the people that you can think of that you want to be like.

I am not talking just about celebrity authors or such, think about people in your life that you look up to at work, at church, at the club, etc.

NOW… this is very important, who of these people tend to be negative, brash, un-giving and un-grateful?

If you can ID some of those people and they are on your list, strike them from your list ASAP. These are the sort of people who will throw you to the zombies just to save their own backside.

In other words you do not want negative people in your life. If they are negative, they will bring you down and plant seeds of negativity in your mind.

What you need to understand is that the universe wants you to win and win big. But you have to have a positive outlook and hang out with the right people. Just doing these two things will have such an impact on your life that once you do, you will look back at yourself and be astonished at the distance you have traveled.

Remember, you want to be one of the bad ass zombie killers, but you will need to hang out with these sorts of people if you are to become one. That or take the long road and kill a couple thousand zombies and live to tell the tale.

Impossible?

Well, no…but  the odds are a heck of a lot better of you becoming part of the undead mob verses learning the ropes from a seasoned zombie killer.

Me, I would rather find someone to emulate first before taking on some zombie horde.

Take my advice, you need to start writing down those names of people who you wish to be like and start kicking that zombie behind.

When you have that list, share with me one or two people from your list and tell me why you chose them.

Keep those swords sharp!

Cheers!
